Busy week |
Hi everyone, it’s Madeline M and Maddison B. It’s been such a busy week, so much has been going on! We had our fist expo Wednesday 18th May; we left at 9:00am on the bus. It was about a 20 minute drive to a car park where we got out and cut into the bush to begin the 8km walk for the day. We walked along the aqueduct. There were a few trips along the way and as we got close to the camp site we got really bored! Tom and Max grabbed some sticks and put on an Indian accent and started playing what we call COD (call of duty). It kept us all entertained the rest of the way and we were all in stiches! We got to the campsite at around 4:00pm; we set up all the tents and chose where to put the toilet. We chose a long a little track and down a hill. As Madeline was campsite setup she had the nice little job of carrying the portable toilet to the spot. She reached it not noticing it had leaked all over her shorts! She was really glad it hadn’t been used! The next morning a few people were surprised by being dragged out of their tent still in their sleeping bags! We had breakfast and began the 5 and a half km walk back, again tom and max had guns keeping us entertained and we were all singing to pass the time. We reached the driveway ran up the hill as we were so happy to be back! Yesterday 21st May, we had our 3rd rest day. A group went to Mt Feathertop, another group stayed and watched a movie and another group went for a 32km bike ride into Omeo. Maddison and I went on the bike ride. It took us 3 hours to get there. The downhill parts were so fast and so much fun. When you were going down the hills your arms got freezing cold but the uphill bits were the complete opposite you got hot and went really slow! We reached Omeo and had lunch then drove back to school. We both fell asleep in the back as we were exhausted. We were both so happy we decided to do something rather than staying at the school. Anyways were having an AWESOME time and very much looking forward to the parent visiting weekend in 2 weeks!!! Bye for now J
