After morning the head count (9:00 one) we left, we began walking towards the DP hut (Dinner Plain hut) this was where the sled dog races started and finished. We walked towards the stone memorial near the DP slope, and we saw a 3 dog (+ 1 man) team racing down the cross country slope there. Then we continued walking (off the track mind) and saw another 4 teams pass us, when we reached the DP hut we watched about 7 more teams come in.

A few days ago on the 8th of august a rest day me and about 20 other people went to see the sled dog races. 
When I got bored of that I wandered around with some other T.A.S students (The Alpine School) looking at the other dog teams getting ready to go and resting after going. After getting bored of that I joined another group patting dogs, while patting the dogs I learned of some of the different breeds of husky:
I also heard about a Labrador team and a Guide dog team (what’s the difference?) but only saw the Labrador one. When the second (or third or fifth) set of races began I made my way to the starting line to watch the 6 to 8 dog teams go out. After taking hundreds of photos we headed back after having a good morning watching huskies.
