Today 1B had photography and l think most of us were looking forward to it because some of us do it at our schools at home. 

Mr Tatnall first showed us what type of cameras we were using. We were using SLR cameras and he said they were about 20 years old. They were manual cameras that the person using them had to work themselves to get the type of picture they were wanting. He showed us what was inside and how’d they worked and what were the type of things you could do with them, and the difference between SLR cameras and digital cameras, that most of us use here at the school.

Then we jumped in the vans and drove to J.B Hut. We got out at the small car park and crossed the road. We walked for a short while and then came to a small quarry that had grown over the years. We then got a description on what was around because we had never been on this side of the plain and then we were free to take pictures. Because these were old cameras they needed film so we could only take about 24 photos.

We were in groups of three of four so each person got around 5 to 6 photos to take them selves. We walked down to the bottom of the quarry and took photos and just walked around taking photos of interesting things. We had a really good view of Mt. Hotham and Mt. Feathertop, so they were really good pictures to take. The photos are going to turn out well as we were using the schools tripods to keep the cameras still. Hopefully when we get our pictures back they will be really good.
