Marion Gamble

I enjoy a life full of adventure, learning and taking new challenges whenever I can. Working at The Alpine School Campus is an exciting and special experience and I enjoy the variety and diversity that our students bring.

Our unique curriculum provides the opportunity to make a difference in our students’ lives and as a teacher to know that you have helped provide such an experience is very rewarding.

I joined the Alpine School in Term 1 2007 at the Snowy River Campus and moved to Dinner Plain the following year. Prior to joining The Alpine School team I taught in both residential and day schools mainly in the Physical Education and Health area. I am also experienced in taking students into the wilderness hiking, bike-riding and paddling. I enjoy sharing my love of the outdoors with students and helping them develop their own appreciation of our beautiful country.

School For Student Leadership

School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development initiative offering a unique residential education experience for year nine students. The curriculum focuses on personal development and team learning projects sourced from students' home regions. There are three campuses in iconic locations across Victoria. The Alpine School Campus is located at Dinner Plain in the Victorian Alps. Snowy River Campus is near the mouth of the Snowy River at Marlo in east Gippsland. The third site is adjacent to Mount Noorat near Camperdown in Victoria’s Western District, and is called Gnurad-Gundidj. After consultation with the local aboriginal community, this name represents both the indigenous name of the local area and an interpretation of the statement "belonging to this place". It opened for students in term 1 2009.
