Andrew Porter

Andrew PorterI feel extremely fortunate to be part of the School for Student Leadership.

I get to work with amazing, energetic people; both staff and students and it's a school that has very similar ideas about learning and personal development to mine. Basically, I can really feel at home when working here. I think it's a great opportunity for students; the chance to focus purely on personal development is really fundamental to being a nice person.

I've experimented with a few different directions over the years. Environmental science in NE Vic and guiding in Central Australia gave me a great basis; I learnt lots from lecturing at a uni. I basically just had fun working in the French Alps.

I love teaching here at the Alpine Campus because each day it takes the best parts of my favourite moments in life and rolls them all into one!
